Bad publicity for the Netflix platform.

His blockbuster

, with a colleague. We said hello, and I went home. I didn't see a filming truck, nothing. ”

When the feature film was broadcast on the platform in March 2021, eighty messages - amused or indignant - reached his cell phone and informed him of this capture.

"Are you ok, Rami?" I saw you in a movie on Netflix, I'm shocked. We are talking about bearded men, I do not understand. Everyone talks about that, pay attention to yourself ”

, one would have written to him in particular.

According to information from the regional daily, confirmed by AFP, an investigation was opened after Sahli filed a complaint on June 1 for "public incitement to discrimination, to racial hatred", the complainant's counsel said. Me Jean-Pascal Padovani.

“The director allowed himself to make a link between the Maghrebian aspect of the people filmed, which is moreover without their authorization and on the very scene of the attack of July 14, 2016, and religious fundamentalists. This is unacceptable, it implies that any person of Maghrebi origin is potentially a terrorist ”

, protested Me Padovani to AFP. Netflix has since changed the audio description of his film to remove the term “bearded”. The retorted comment now mentions

"two young men, with backpacks,

"
