You probably see them everywhere - chocolate-flavored protein bars or peanut butter.
If you are exercising and already choose to indulge in a sweet snack, then at least there will be a functional treat, which also provides you with components that increase the effectiveness of the training

What are the benefits of protein bars?

We all already know today how important it is to combine a nutritious diet along with exercise to achieve a healthy and strong body.
But very few of us are willing to give up a sweet treat in the middle or end of the day, even in the name of diet or fitness.
In the last decade, a market of protein-rich foods has developed around the world.
For trainees who want to manage their diet and complete their protein goals but also indulge without a lot of sugar - protein bars are a suitable solution.
Tnuva GO protein snacks have recently been launched in a variety of flavors: with coconut, peanut butter, cookie dough flavor and chocolate flavor.
These are snacks that come with a high amount of protein and very little sugar - a treat that is also functional and gives value to the trainee
Both protein and BCAAs
The point is not just the presence of protein in the snack, but exactly how much protein it contains and what its quality is.
"In every serving of a snack that contains 60 grams, there is 20 grams of protein, some of which is whey protein (WHEY), the highest quality protein for trainees, and this is a particularly significant amount compared to energy snacks," Lavi explains.
GO snacks contain proteins rich in BCAAs - three essential and essential amino acids that the body does not know how to produce and are important for exercisers.
These acids (at least 3 grams per snack) have three proven benefits: the first is to build muscle quickly, the second is to reduce muscle breakdown during exertion and the third is to use them as starting materials for producing aerobic energy with prolonged exertion, which also helps reduce fatigue during exercise.
Therefore BCAAs increase the effectiveness of training.
Both protein and BCAAs.

Functional indulgence
"These are snacks with a focus on protein, but they are not just protein," explains Talia Lavie, a clinical dietitian who was part of the GO protein snack development consulting team. "It's a delicious treat that is really a kind of meal on the go - both protein and energy are available to the body.
And what about sugar in a snack? Snacks contain a small amount of sugar - only 1.8 grams per snack - less than half a teaspoon of sugar.
" "They do not come to replace proteins in foods like egg, cheese, meat or even protein yogurt." Lavie clarifies that the snack can also be an alternative to a meal, but not as a regular arrangement, but more if you hurry or leave training and there is no time for a meal or as a snack that complements your daily protein intake. The snack can be taken away or left in a bag after training and it does not spoil. "
"It's basically an addition of 20 grams of protein that comes from a delicious, pampering and protein-rich snack," says Lavi.
"And if you already want to indulge, then it is worthwhile and recommended to indulge in something quality and nutritious."
The new GO snacks are available for purchase online on the GO website, in retail chains, pharma chains and in stores that specialize in nutrition for athletes.
