It's not so clear to us how it happened, why it happened and who exactly let it happen, but you can not argue with the facts - a quarter of an hour from Tel Aviv (and let's not be petty with the road hell raging outside now, well?) "Hidden" Empire.

Rishon Lezion
Food
- a monster of more than a quarter of a million people and an area that moves rapidly to the 60,000 dunam area - suffers from a complex culinary image, to say the least.
Years of shuffle-restaurants and mediocre humor have made it a successful IKEA mall destination, but at the same time labeled it as food-dead.
Well, let's change that together.
You, us and the most successful food man in the country.

Everything from everything, but works.
SOHO (Photo: Itzik Barel)
In recent months, we have happily told you about the (best) Pizza Street, which is crowded in Israel, with three carbohydrate powers located only hundreds of meters away from each other. We saw "Se Tu" and "JAJA" there, returned for the Neapolitan bonsera and toured for a long time in the nearby and groundbreaking Make Eat complex as well. Now it's time to talk to someone who really knows what's going on in the fourth largest city in Israel.
Itzik Barel has been living and breathing the "Soho" restaurant for years as one of the owners. He saw it grow, develop, prosper and gradually become one of the most successful food institutions in the country. Before the corona, about 1,200 people ate here a day. During it, a high level of certainty can be estimated, motorcycles and couriers left here in quantities reminiscent of an established shipping company. Now, after the plague and after the operation and after the mess, the business is starting to recover.
Here you will find, of course, everything from everything - scary but uncompromising sushi, professional noodle dishes, fish and seafood pans and quality meat.
But we asked Itzik to recommend "his places" to us.

Bernard Coffee
Including the equal sandwich in town.
Cafe Bernard (Photo: Screenshot, Facebook)
Bernard is located in the heart of the city, and there I open my day with coffee, breakfast or with the most worthwhile sandwich in town.
When I start the morning there, my day automatically gets better.

Scone clean
Small, homey, fun.
Skon Nekon (Photo: Danny Shaked)
A small, authentic, homely and fun Thai restaurant with real and spicy Thai food - just like in Thailand.
I always order the papaya salad (hot spicy) and the beef in red curry (at the same level of spiciness).

Erez's hummus
Local wiping.
Erez's hummus (Photo: screenshot, Itzik Barel)
Rishon Lezion's hummus by Erez Peretz, who was a sous chef at reputable restaurants in Tel Aviv. The hummus here is made locally and is very special.

Herzl 2:
Rishon LeZion is a well-known and obligatory institution for shawarma lovers wherever they are. Anyone who knows me personally knows that my weakness is shawarma (with onions and vegetables, full spicy, tahini and ambala) and I am addicted to that.

Skewers of yesteryear with real chips in Nahalat Yehuda.
If you want to feel like you returned to childhood in the 80s like me, then this is the place.
My recommendation - do not miss Hezi's legendary goose breast portion.
Pizza JAJA
Accurate and delicious.
JAJA Pizza (Photo: Sapir Kusa)
The pizza of Rishon Lezion.
The pizzolo Gilad Salmon and the nightlife man Barak Birnbaum have opened an accurate place, with the most delicious pizzas and pastas available, which do not fall short of those in Italy.
