An activist from the environmental association Greenpeace, arrived above the Munich stadium in a microlight-type machine, failed to crash into the stand after hitting a cable just before the kick-off of France-Germany at the 'Euro.
The pilot flew over the lawn of the Allianz Arena with “Kick out Oil” written on his wing, before being unbalanced by a cable carrying the “Spider Cam”, this aerial camera.
It was difficult to restore control before grazing a grandstand and crashing, without damage, on the lawn of the Allianz Arena.
"We came close to the tragedy," reacted Didier Deschamps, the coach of the France team, after the match.
