After three weeks of unchallenged reign over cinema ticket sales,
Adieu les cons is
at the top of the weekly ranking of the best admissions.
Despite gauges at 65% and a curfew at 11 p.m., the third installment of the
Conjuring
horror saga
imposed itself upon its release at the top of the French box office with nearly 660,000 spectators in the first week, according to the CBO Box-Office survey.

Two other novelties settle in second and third places in the weekly ranking:
Nomadland
by Chloé Zhao and the French film
Le Discours
by Laurent Triard, each with just over 120,000 tickets.
For its third week of operation,
The Father
by Frenchman Florian Zeller, finds himself on the fourth step of the podium with some 93,000 additional spectators.
Carried by a masterful Anthony Hopkins, the film, which won two Oscars, offers a disturbing dive into senile dementia.
A month after the reopening of the rooms,
Adieu les cons
has garnered a little more than 88,000 additional seats.
He fell to 5th position in the weekly top but has already accumulated nearly 1.7 million spectators since his exit jostled by two confinements.
