rag in citric acid or vinegar,
then wipe the iron with it.
And the iron is shining again.

Loosen or remove coarse limescale contamination with a toothpick.
Fill the water tank with water and add vinegar or vinegar essence.
The mixing ratio with vinegar should be 1: 1.
In relation to vinegar essence, it is best to use two parts water and one part essence.
Switch on the iron and wait until the soles warm up.
Press the steam switch until the vinegar-water mixture has completely evaporated.
