From Palazzo Chigi there would be signals that favor the extension, as the State of Emergency is linked to the holding of the entire mission structure of the Commissioner for the Emergency, Francesco Figliuolo, the Scientific Technical Committee, but also measures concerning the smart working, the dad and some work provisions in the case of quarantined school classes. Given the changed epidemiological situation, the extension would not have the same meaning as the previous ones: it would be above all a way to continue speeding up some procedures. Although the renewal is technically possible until January 31, 2022, one of the hypotheses would be to terminate the provision on December 31:a date that would also have the symbolic value of leaving the pandemic behind with the end of the year.
The trend on the decline in infections continues its descent:
