(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 17 - In April 2021, exports are expected to grow by 3.4% over March and imports by 1.9%. Istat notes this, underlining that in April 2020 following the exceptionally low level reached in the month, the growth on an annual basis in exports is "extraordinarily large" with a + 97.6%. Import also marks a very strong trend increase (+62 , 8%). The estimate of the commercial balance in April 2021 is equal to +5,870 million euros (it was -1,117 in April 2020). Net of energy products, the balance is equal to +8,719 million (it was +135 in April last year).
In April 2021, import prices increased by 0.9% on a monthly basis and by 8.3% on an annual basis. (HANDLE).
