The decision 10 days in advance on the expected timetable. From Sunday the curfew will be abolished (ANSA)

In France, from today away the masks outside - now poorly tolerated in the great heat of June - and curfew abolished from Sunday. The two measures - among the heaviest for individual freedoms - had already been widely violated for several days, particularly in Paris, where even in restaurants people went far beyond the allowed hours every evening. The release from the masks arrives 10 days earlier than the date that had been imagined, at the end of June. This is because, Castex explained, "the situation is improving faster than we had hoped for". Obviously, the exception remains not only in closed places, but also in those outside that were too crowded, with crowds, "waiting lines, markets or at the stadium". "IS'It is normal - added Castex - that the measures are adapted "on the basis of the figures. But on the usefulness of keeping the masks on the outside, more and more experts are expressing doubts. France was one of the last countries - with Italy and Greece - to have maintained the curfew despite the sharply falling figures. To the point of having created a "case" at Roland Garros for spectators forced to leave the stands two sets from the end of the exciting challenge between Djokovic and Berrettini. The time limit will arrive on Sunday, on the eve of the Music Festival, for which, however, the health protocols that prohibit spontaneous gatherings and concerts in the streets must be respected, the premier warned.the usefulness of keeping the masks on the outside are more and more experts who express doubts. In the meantime, Australia

has imposed further restrictions on the use of AstraZeneca's anti-Covid vaccine

, which from now on will only be administered to over 60s: the decision comes after, last April, the authorities had reserved this vaccine for over 50. In giving the news, the Minister of Health, Greg Hunt, cited fears of possible links between the AstraZeneca vaccine and cases of thrombosis, stressing that now the "preferred" serum for all those under 60 years is that of Pfizer. The crackdown follows the thrombosis death of a 52-year-old after the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
