(ANSA) - MOSCOW, JUN 17 - The Kremlin spokesman, DmitriPeskov, answering a question on the possible inclusion of the Russian opponent in prison Alexiei Navalny in a possible exchange of prisoners with the US, declared that the dissident could be allowed to go to the States United only "if he suddenly discovers that he is an American citizen and works for the special services" of that country, "or rather, if he is officially confirmed by the Americans". "In another way, I don't think," Peskov concluded. This was reported by the Interfax agency quoting an interview by Peskov on Radio Eco in Moscow. The Kremlin spokesman also stated that the question of Navalny's possible expatriation to the US was not discussed during yesterday's summit in Geneva between Putin and Biden.

Peskov last year accused the Russian opponent of collaborating with the CIA and Navalny then announced that he wanted to sue. Alexiei Navalny was arrested in January, as soon as he returned to Russia from Germany, where he had been treated for an alleged poisoning that had caused fear for his life and for which the Russian secret services are suspected.
