(ANSA) - SYDNEY, JUN 17 - Australia has imposed further restrictions on the use of AstraZeneca's Covid vaccine, which from now on will only be administered to over 60s: the decision comes after the authorities had reserved this last April vaccine for over 50s. In breaking the news, Health Minister Greg Hunt cited fears of possible links between the AstraZeneca vaccine and thrombosis cases, stressing that now the "preferred" serum for all those under the age of 60 is that of Pfizer. The turn of the screw follows the thrombotic death of a 52-year-old after being given the AstraZeneca vaccine. (HANDLE).
