They haven't let go.
For more than an hour and a half, George Argyriou and Valeriu Nuta did not relax their efforts to try to resuscitate a young green turtle, injured by an underwater net in which it was trapped, on May 21 off the coast of Cyprus.
The two snorkelers performed cardiac massages and mouth-to-mouth massages, using a plastic bottle, and managed to revive the animal.
“We felt so happy to see this incredible animal free and alive again,” said George Argyriou after the turtle was rescued and released.

"It is very commendable that this team has been far-sighted in trying to revive this young green turtle and it is good to see that it seems to be recovering," said Robin Snape, member of the board of directors of the Society for the Protection of Turtles of Cyprus.
But although the turtle has apparently recovered, there may be water in its airways and lungs and therefore mortality after release is possible, ”he warns.
This kind of incident is frequent off the island.
Every year, thousands of turtles die from accidental entanglement in fishermen's underwater nets.
