Employees only have two weeks left to transfer their Individual Training Rights (DIF) to the Personal Training Account.

Until December 31, 2014, employees were credited, with the employer's agreement, with 20 hours of training per year, over a period of 6 years, without exceeding 120 hours.

The CPF, now supplied with 500 euros per year, took over from this device in 2015.

No new postponement

The transition to this new system has taken its time.

The deadline, initially set for December 31, 2020, had been postponed by the Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, because millions of French people were preparing to lose their DIF rights.

According to figures from the Federation of Vocational Training (FFP), 10 million employees had still not transferred their rights on June 1.

That these latecomers do not hope for a new postponement, warned the Minister last week:

"We will not extend, I am telling you clearly, beyond June 30,"

she declared before the Committee on Social Affairs. of the National Assembly.

For the beneficiaries, the countdown has therefore started.

How do I know if I have hours left?

To find out if you have any hours left, you can consult your choice of: your December 2014 or January 2015 pay slip, your last employment certificate or the DIF entitlement certificate provided by your employer.

If this last document is lost, a request can be made to the Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations: the amount of the rights will be entered on a certificate that the employee must certify on their honor that these rights have not been mobilized before.

How do I transfer my rights?

To transfer your acquired hours to the CPF, you must log on to the accountformation.gouv.fr website or to the “

My Training Account

” application.

In the tab "

My rights to training

" then "

Private CPF + DIF

", enter the balance of your hours, with a unit value of 15 euros.

Once the proof of acquired rights has been uploaded to the platform, the amount of DIF hours will be converted into euros on the employees' CPF account.

Beware of scams

Between now and June 30, those concerned must be particularly vigilant against fraud and scams.

"

A certain number of training organizations [...] sometimes engage in excessive canvassing to invite employees to mobilize their CPF to buy training,

" Élisabeth Borne pointed out to the Commission des affaires sociales on June 10.

Taking advantage of the ambiguity around the transfer of rights, crooks call individuals by claiming to be part of the “My training account” platform.

The scammers then extract the identifiers of the people contacted by promising to carry out the procedures themselves for the transfer of rights.

As a reminder, neither the Caisse des Dépôts, nor the Ministry of Labor, nor Pôle Emploi make any telephone inquiries about the CPF.
