VERONA - Amarone and Prosecco lead the team of 23 wines selected by WineSpectator for the tenth anniversary of OperaWine, the Vinitaly event that on Saturday 19 June will lead the way for buyers and operators to return to our country.

Among the 186 standard-bearer producers of Italian wine in the world according to the American magazine of the most influential sector on international markets, Veneto, with 23 wineries, climbs on the podium of the regional ranking behind only Tuscany (47) and followed by Piedmont (20), the three regions which together account for over 68% of Italian exports.

An extraordinary anthological edition that will be staged at the Gallerie Mercatali in Verona, the historical-industrial infrastructure in front of the exhibition center, which for the anniversary expands the team of the top 100 in Italy with 'all timers', i.e. producers chosen once or more in the ten years of OperaWine.

Wine, promotion and business in attendance: these are the key words of Veronafiere that mark the restart of the Vinitaly-branded events.

At OperaWine, producers will come face to face with over 300 national and foreign operators and buyers from 13 countries.

This is the first important incoming campaign carried out by Veronafiere and Ice Agenzia after the forced blockade of the last 15 months.

Reserved for operators and the press (by invitation, from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm), the grand tasting of Italy wine will take place with a format that complies with all the safety standards required by both current legislation and the Veronafiere protocol.

The exhibition layout foresees a predefined path between the wine-growing regions represented in alphabetical order and by type of wine: we start with the bubbles, to move on to the whites, then to the reds and finally to the passito.

The measures taken to guarantee the safety of exhibitors and visitors are completed by those relating to the management of entrances staggered in two shifts, with digital access and preventive temperature measurement, based on a maximum quota allowed on the area of ​​7 thousand square meters.
