Lennard took a close look that evening at the beginning of June: when he saw a man crash on his moped, the ten-year-old boy immediately ran up to him.
The 30-year-old had driven across a meadow in Unterbreizbach in Thuringia, had overlooked a stretched barbed wire and hit it, the police said.
In the fall, the moped driver seriously injured his neck.
Lennard immediately took off his T-shirt and pressed it onto the wound.
In this way he prevented the moped driver from bleeding to death at the scene of the accident, as reported by the "Thuringia 24" site.
Then the boy called loudly for help until a passer-by heard him and alerted the emergency call.
The rescue workers then flew the seriously injured to a hospital in Erfurt.
As a thank you for his commitment, Lennard and his family were allowed to visit the Suhl state police station.
There he received a voucher for an electronics store, a few souvenirs from the Thuringian police and an "exclusive presentation of our patrol car," as the police announced on their Facebook page.
