(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, JUN 19 - The reigning Olympic champion, the American Ryan Crouser, has set the new world record in shot put with a measure of 23.37 meters in the American trials for the Tokyo Olympics, in progress in Eugene, Oregon.
31-year-old Crouser, who obviously qualified for the Games, thus took away the primacy of fellow countryman Randy Barnes, who set the world record in 1990 with a throw of 23.12 meters.
