People hear 9 different things in the same sound file - and what do you hear?

The next soundtrack includes two or three repetitive words, but it turns out that each listener hears something completely different.

The sound is so confusing that people swear they are capable of hearing 9 or even 10 different things.

Maybe you will succeed in deciding

What do you hear in the video?

(Tiktok / @ kegan_stiles)

Since the "Jani or Laurel" illusion that swept the web in a storm 3 years ago, we are inundated with similar sound illusions that challenge surfers to identify what is really being said in them, when in most cases the choice is between 2 and 3 different options.

In the following sound illusion the choice is particularly difficult as there are no less than 9 different interpretations of the same sound file, with people swearing that they are able to hear only one of them, some or even all of them.

In a video uploaded by tic-tac-toe user Kegan_stiles, which garnered more than 12 million views in 3 days, football fans are heard cheering for their team.

If you were expecting an unequivocal answer, then we are sorry to disappoint you but we do not have one.

We can tell you that the answer that won the most votes in Tiktok is "That Is Embarrassing" which also fits well with the fans' intentions (why should they sing about Bart Simpson or a pirate ship?).

One viewer provided a different and equally correct answer: "What I read on screen while watching is what I heard."

Many agreed with him.

Try it for yourself, watch the video over and over and each time read a different sentence that appears on the screen.

You will indeed be able to "hear" most of them.

Also, there were those who claimed to hear something completely different.

One wrote: "I hear That is a person who does not appear on this list at all ...".

This is not the first time user Keegan Styles has managed to captivate his viewers with such a deceptive sound illusion.

Here are some more of his successful attempts:

12 different options for one sound file.

Researchers claim that such illusions emphasize the difference between hearing and listening, meaning that we hear things in our ears but listening occurs in the brain - when we attach meaning to sound.

Since the sound is not clear here, it manages to deceive us and gains in each of us a different interpretation in the brain.
