A recall has been launched for canned tomatoes.
According to the manufacturer, a health hazard cannot be ruled out.
Kassel - Paul M. Müller GmbH informs about the recall of the product "ADRIA Pizza-Tomatoes (Polpa di Pomodoro)" in 4250 ml containers and the best before date 31.08.2022.
If you have a pack in your pantry, it would be better to check which product it is.
Only batch SI LJ 240 MHD / BBE: 31/08/2022 with EAN (GTIN) 4 003735 770367 is affected by the recall.
As the company reports, occasional paint peeling was found inside the tin cans with the tomatoes during quality controls.
This could lead to thermal reactions during the heating process.
A health hazard cannot be ruled out with certainty.

Canned tomatoes in the recall: Affected product has been withdrawn from sale
The batch identification is located on the lid / bottom of the tin can.
All other products from Paul M. Müller GmbH are not affected by the recall.
The company reacted immediately and immediately withdrew the affected batch of pizza tomatoes from sale.
Customers can return the products in the respective market and get the purchase price reimbursed even without presenting the receipt.
