However, the figures are still

The second wave

Despite the drop in the number of cases, the country remains the

fourth

with the highest number of new infections in the world, behind India, Brazil and Colombia.

When looking at the incidence with respect to the population, the country is in sixth place, with 465 infected daily per million inhabitants.

Ahead are two countries in the region Uruguay (3rd) and Colombia (4th), in addition to Seychelles, Mongolia and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

After having a strong growth in the first days of June, the death toll begins to show a decline.

In any case, it still remains within the highest levels of the pandemic.

In the week prior to today's report, 3,681 deaths were reported;

525 per day.

Argentina's daily average of deaths is now the

fourth highest globally

.

India, Brazil and Colombia remain in the first two places.
