Anger and outrage.

They are the first sensations that are felt in

Almost 16 months after the femicide in Mar del Plata, Justice has just confirmed the date on which the oral trial will begin:

in October 2022

.

The victim's family questioned "

the eternal times of justice

."

Especially since the defendant, her ex-partner,

confessed to having beaten her to death.

Then he buried his body on the outskirts of the city.

The attack occurred in March last year, when the pandemic began in the country, and it had a great impact.

Claudia Repetto was missing for 27 days in Mar del Plata.

"We cannot wait another year and a half more for the trial and to see the murderer condemned. We can no longer bear the eternal times of justice, because we

need to close this story once and for all,

" said Cristian González, one of Claudia's four children .

The anger expressed came after the Oral Criminal Court 1 (TOC 1) notified the start date of the debate towards the end of next year.

The TOC 1

set between October 17 and 24, 2022,

the hearings for the trial of Ricardo Alberto Rodríguez (57), who is detained for "homicide aggravated by the relationship and for having mediated gender violence."

His body was found after his ex-partner declared and gave details of where he had buried him: on the side of Route 11, on the way to Miramar, buried in the Cliffs area.

"First we spent a month looking for my mother and the murderer, and we ended up catching him. Then we had a year of investigation, and now that we were confident we could go to trial before the end of the year, we found out that it was only going to be at the end of the year. the one that comes from.

It seems that they do it on purpose,

"González complained in dialogue with the Télam agency.

"The whole family is very bad," said the young man.

"

So much waiting and so many delays are torture,

" he admitted and demanded that Justice "set a new date."

Judicial sources indicated that the delays in the hearings are the result of "

rescheduling and suspensions

caused by the coronavirus pandemic."

"We try to think cold and our lawyer advises us to look ahead because somehow we are on our way to see justice done and for this guy to be sentenced to life. But at times it makes

us want to stand with a tent in front of the courts

with my

friends.

brothers, "said Cristian.

"It is incredible that we have to wait so long. Although the pain of the loss is not going to happen to us,

we wanted to close it

and have the guy condemn him and move on to another stage," added Jorge Repetto, the victim's brother to the questions. , in a note published by the Mar del Plata site

Femicide

According to the investigation carried out by the prosecutor Leandro Arévalo, head of the Functional Instruction Unit 7, Repetto was murdered by her ex-partner

inside her house

.

A house that was located behind the house of the accused, in the Termas Huinco neighborhood, in the southern part of Mar del Plata.

The woman's disappearance had been reported at noon on March 2 of last year, after she was absent from work in a hotel in downtown Mar del Plata, where she performed cleaning tasks.

From the start of the investigation, initially labeled "whereabouts investigation," Repetto's children targeted Rodríguez, whom the woman had left seven months earlier, after a relationship they described as "toxic and violent."

Despite a strong deployment of provincial and federal forces, which included dog raking and security camera analysis, for 26 days there were no traces of the victim or the accused.

A few meters from Route 11, between Mar del Plata and Miramar, they found Repetto's buried body.

Finally, Rodríguez was arrested on March 27.

It was thanks to Repetto's children who found him on the street and denounced him.

Hours after his capture,

Rodríguez confessed to the femicide in court

.

He said that he had murdered the woman and that he had buried her body about 15 kilometers south of the center of Mar del Plata;

very close to the site where police officers had found a shovel in the early days of the investigation.

According to the tests carried out, the man "gave him various blows with his fist", "especially to the head and face, which produced multiple bruises and caused a state of unconsciousness that, added to the subsequent manipulation of the body, led to death. "from" asphyxia from aspiration. "

The prosecutor Arévalo also specified that the man beat the victim "until he was dead", and that the body was found buried "wrapped in a nylon sheet and bag."

Wait in prison

Ricardo Rodríguez awaits in the Batán prison the start of the oral trial that will begin in October 2022.

Rodríguez is serving his preventive detention in the 44th Criminal Unit of Batán, and when confirming this precautionary measure, the Guarantees Judge Rosa Frende considered it "necessary" to use the gender perspective "to analyze the case" and weighed the danger of escape to justify that the man remains imprisoned.
