(ANSA) - TEHRAN, June 20 - "We are close to an agreement, but it is not easy to cover the remaining distance. It is time for the other parties in the negotiations to make a decision". This was said today by Iranian deputy foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, Iranian chief negotiator at the Vienna nuclear talks, which are resuming today.
Speaking on Iranian television in the Austrian capital, Araghchi specified that today is the last day of the sixth round of negotiations and the parties have so far carried out "intense work". "All the documents are almost ready - he added - and the negotiators will suspend talks for a few days to return to their capitals for consultations and decisions to be taken".
The indirect talks between Iran and the US, with the mediation of European countries, Russia and China, for the return of Washington in the agreement of 2015 and the lifting of the sanctions, are resumed after the election of the ultra-conservative Ebrahimi Raisi as president of Iran . (HANDLE).
