Argentina will receive more than one million AstraZeneca vaccines against the coronavirus from the United States this Monday morning, while it awaits another shipment of Sinopharm doses that will be transferred on a special Aerolineas Argentinas flight from China in the next few hours. and to which another commercial flight of Qatar Airways will be added.
These batches are part of the 4 million doses expected for this week.
The new cargo from Oxford-AstraZeneca for
a total of 1,134,000 doses
, which began to be produced in Argentina and whose completion was carried out at the AMRI plant in Albuquerque, will land at Ezeiza International Airport at 9.50 am on the cargo flight LATAM Cargo Colombia UC1407.
With this shipment,
the country will have 21,806,145 doses
of the different vaccines against the coronavirus since last December, when the national government launched the Strategic Vaccination Plan.
Meanwhile, a new Aerolineas Argentinas flight is expected for this Monday at 7 p.m., which will transport Sinopharm vaccines from China, as part of the agreement to purchase 6 million vaccines (2 million in June and 4 million in July).
