Anna-Maria Ferchichi races through the years in her story, from one event to the next.

It doesn't tell chronologically, sometimes it jumps through time.

Every now and then she comes to tears.

It's about her husband, Anis Ferchichi, better known as rapper Bushido - and clan chief Arafat Abou-Chaker.

About this special male relationship, which quickly turned into a nightmare for Anna-Maria Ferchichi.

At least that's how the 39-year-old describes it before the 38th Large Criminal Chamber of the Berlin Regional Court.

Bushido's wife is escorted to the hall by police officers.

The officers wear balaclavas and bulletproof vests, Anna-Maria Ferchichi wears a blue and white patterned summer dress.

She takes a seat at the witness table.

Arafat Abou-Chaker and three of his brothers are sitting in the dock a few meters to the right and left of her.

Arafat Abou-Chaker is accused of attempted grave extortion, coercion and dangerous bodily harm, among other things.

The presiding judge Martin Mrosk asks Anna-Maria Ferchichi to tell when and how she met Bushido and Arafat Abou-Chaker.

He doesn't have to ask much more, the witness never stops telling the story.

"Everyone was drunk, only my husband wasn't"

It was in Cologne in January 2011.

"It was an informal night, everyone was drunk, except for my husband, he doesn't drink." It was a nice evening after an event.

She got along "very well" with Abou-Chaker and his brothers.

"Everyone was very nice." The relationship between Bushido and Abou-Chaker seemed friendly to her.

But even then, she was surprised that no one had taken the rapper into consideration.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi is the sister of the singer Sarah Connor.

In court she says: "I have a famous sister." And she knows from her that the artist is given a space on tours where she can find peace.

But no one paid any attention to Bushido.

"That's when I noticed that he didn't have much to report." Abou-Chaker set the tone.

She noticed that even then.

While Bushido did not fight against Abou-Chaker, she kept causing arguments.

She did not accept Abou-Chaker's rules in silence, but gave contradictions.

Bushido, however, did not want to face a confrontation with the partner.

"Never," she says.

Abou-Chaker wanted to decide on their wedding celebration in 2012. At that time he discovered Islam for himself, "got lost in the faith," as Anna-Maria Ferchichi puts it. No alcohol should flow at the wedding. Anna-Maria Ferchichi was pregnant at the time, didn't drink any alcohol anyway, but she didn't want to deny her guests that. "There was alcohol," she says. Which is why one of the Abou Chaker brothers didn't bring his wife to the party, but his lover. "I don't think that's okay, that's disrespectful," she complained to Bushido. "Don't stress now!" He replied.

It took her a long time to see through the relationship between the two men.

“It has nothing to do with equality at all.

They're not brothers. ”Abou-Chaker could have done what he wanted.

Also on their shared property in Kleinmachnow, where Bushido wanted to live with his family villa on villa with Abou-Chaker.

Abou-Chaker felled trees as he wanted, without prior consultation.

"My husband is actually very dominant," she says, "but he was so submissive as far as Arafat was concerned."

Freak out for a trivial reason

Arafat Abou-Chaker is silent in court, he comments on her testimony with facial expressions.

Sometimes he raises his eyebrows, sometimes he shakes his head, sometimes he laughs mockingly.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi said he was constantly trying to control her.

Abou-Chaker freaked out for no reason.

If he thought she was dressed too freely, he would yell at her and insult her as "whore's daughter", "whore" and "whore".

"It was so ridiculous."

Bushido's mother died in April 2013.

Abou-Chaker told her that she was not wanted at the funeral, says Anna-Maria Ferchichi.

She went anyway.

"It felt like the whole of Berlin's underworld was there," she says.

As an example, she cites the Hells Angels, who would have come to the fore, while Bushido's mother's friends should have stayed in the background.

Bushido let everything happen.

Arafat Abou-Chaker interfered more and more in her private life.

"My husband never said anything, he always allowed it."

Once, in 2014, she and her husband spent a night in a hotel abroad.

The next day, Abou-Chaker called and yelled at Bushido: "Where are you?" Only because Bushido hadn't signed off.

You no longer understood the world.

"This is total surveillance, total control," she said to her husband.

But Bushido didn't want to talk about Abou-Chaker.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi sought advice from a psychologist at the time.

“I wanted to know if my perception is wrong, that I have lived for years in a theater like this, where everyone plays their part.

He as a prisoner. ”She means her husband.

It is the moment when you cry for the first time in court.

She should say when she needs a break, the judge tells the witness.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi is pregnant.

She and her husband are expecting triplets.

Her family already has five children.

But Bushido's wife doesn't need a break, and the judge does at some point.

"It's exhausting listening to you," he says, "so much information." He paused the hearing for half an hour.

Then it goes on.

In December 2014, the situation escalated completely, says Bushido's wife.

Abou-Chaker, Bushido and she were together in southern Germany.

One evening they would have sat at the Italian restaurant.

Her sweater had slipped up slightly so that a piece of her bare back could be seen.

Abou-Chaker made a huge scene.

He said to Bushido that she was the devil and that he should get a divorce.

Her tears come again.

Bushido didn't say anything, just kept looking at the ground.

Back in Berlin there was a violent argument.

She asked her husband to apologize, and he slapped her in the face.

The next day she packed her suitcase to move out with her children.

Her husband surprised her and called Abou-Chaker for help.

He threatened and insulted her.

She dialed the number of the State Office of Criminal Investigation.

She moved out under the protection of the officials - Bushido had already described this incident of domestic violence as a witness.

The court has heard enough for the day.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi's statement continues on Wednesday.
