In the criminal case against Arafat Abou-Chaker, the wife of co-plaintiff Bushido testified as a witness.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi described the relationship between the musician and his former business partner Arafat Abou-Chaker as problematic.

"This is not a friendship, this is complete surveillance, a complete seeing of all things," she said to her husband at the time, said the 39-year-old before the Berlin district court.

Bushido did not rebel against his then business partner, but he was clearly under pressure.

The pregnant Ferchichi was brought into the hall accompanied by bodyguards.

Bushido was nowhere to be seen.

Bushido is under personal protection

The 45-year-old main defendant, Arafat Abou-Chaker, is accused of insulting, depriving her of liberty, attempting serious blackmail, coercion and dangerous physical harm.

Three brothers who were also accused are said to be accomplices.

The four have so far not commented on the allegations in the process.

Bushido had already been questioned on 25 days of the trial.

He is also under personal protection.

Bushido recently announced on Instagram that he was expecting triplets with his wife.

Anna-Maria Ferchichi is the sister of singer Sarah Connor.

It was thanks to her that he dared to break up with Arafat Abou-Chaker, the rapper said in the process.

He was shocked when he learned in November 2018 that his wife and children were being threatened.

At first he was silent out of "fear and honor".

Only in January 2019 did he testify to the police against Arafat Abou-Chaker.

Bushido had ended his relationship with Arafat Abou-Chaker after more than a decade of private and business togetherness.

According to the indictment, he did not want to accept this and unjustifiably demanded a million payment and participation in Bushido's music business for 15 years.

The rapper was threatened, insulted, locked in an office in January 2018 and attacked with a water bottle and a chair.
