Further lightening of the sanitary protocol.

Concerts with standing audiences will again be authorized in France from June 30, Culture Minister Roselyne Bachelot announced on Monday.

The government has decided to "reopen standing concerts from June 30 (...) with a 75% gauge in indoor establishments, and 100% outdoors," she said after a meeting at the Elysée with professionals from the sector.

The health pass (proof of vaccination or recent negative test) "will only be required for standing concerts for more than 1000 spectators expected", as is currently the case for all shows in a seated configuration, said Roselyne. Bachelot.

And for these concerts requiring the health pass at the entrance, "wearing a mask will no longer be compulsory but recommended", she added, stressing that this decision made it possible "to finalize the resumption of cultural activities".

Reopening of nightclubs on July 9

The same conditions will apply to nightclubs, the only sector that has remained closed since the start of the pandemic, or 15 months of a "difficult period" for their managers and a "long wait for customers", acknowledged Alain Griset.

They will be able to reopen on July 9 but access will be reserved for holders of a health pass, a gauge of 100% outside and 75% inside, without compulsory wearing of the mask.

For concerts as for nightclubs, the organizers will be able to install barnums at the entrance to allow customers who do not have a health pass to carry out a rapid screening test, said the two ministers.
