In the case of two dead on Lake Garda after a suspected boat collision, the Italian police are investigating two Germans from Munich.
The Carabinieri confirmed this on request.
The judicial authorities continued to investigate the case.
As Italian media reported on Sunday and Monday, a woman, 25, and a man, 37, are said to have died in a boat collision.
The police did not provide any information about the cause of the impact.
Suspects are said to have fled
According to the reports, the suspects were traveling by motorboat.
They had rammed a smaller boat near Saló.
It was also reported that they fled after the collision without helping.
But they were later investigated and interrogated, wrote the newspaper "La Repubblica".
The body of the local man was therefore discovered in the boat early Sunday morning, the woman's was later recovered from the lake.
The suspects are alleged to have been accused of manslaughter and failure to provide assistance, among other things.
