Recipe for cucumber salad with yogurt dressing: the ingredients
Serving size: for 4 people as a side dish
Preparation time: 10 minutes
1.5 large cucumbers
1 onion
200 g natural yogurt
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
salt and pepper
1 pinch of sugar
4 tbsp vegetable oil
1 bunch of dill

Fresh cucumber salad with yogurt dressing: how to make it
Peel the cucumbers with the peeler and cut off the ends.

Cut the cucumbers into thin slices or grate them on the grater.
Peel and dice the onion.
For the dressing, stir together the yogurt, vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar, then fold in the oil.
Wash and shake the dill dry, then cut it into small pieces and stir it into the dressing.
Mix the cucumber slices and onions with the dressing and let the cucumber salad steep in the refrigerator.

How long can cucumber salad keep?
You shouldn't keep cucumber salad for too long, especially in summer.
It keeps in the refrigerator for a day to a maximum of two days.
Note, however, that the cucumbers collapse after just a few hours: the salad then becomes
watery and loses its taste
.
It is better to prepare it fresh and enjoy it straight away - you should prepare it two hours before serving and leave it in the refrigerator.
You can also prepare the dressing separately and only season the salad and mix it with the yoghurt dressing before serving.
