The National Union of Syrian Students launched student dialogue sessions in universities with the participation of academic professors, representatives of micro and small finance institutions and a number of successful and unsuccessful experiences in this field, with the aim of spreading the culture of micro and small enterprises.

At the Reda Saeed Conference Center at the University of Damascus, the participants stressed the need to simplify the procedures for obtaining licenses and loans to start projects, and to establish clear mechanisms for networking between ideas and those concerned with implementing projects, creating a suitable environment for research and amending legislation that treats students or small investors as they deal with merchants and large investors, solving the problem of guarantees and intellectual protection. and others.

Fayez Estfan, a member of the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students, indicated that the holding of student dialogue sessions was based on a questionnaire organized by the Executive Office of the Union that included thousands of students in public and private universities about their vision and future ideas for work, especially with regard to small projects.

For his part, Louay Al-Munajjid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Association for Young Entrepreneurs, pointed to the cooperation between the association, the Students Union and the University of Damascus, through which the Center for Student Empowerment and Entrepreneurship was established with the aim of empowering students and providing them with knowledge and skills to enter the labor market, whether as employees or entrepreneurs, through a series of courses Which focuses on entrepreneurship, how to create projects, and the financial management of projects, thus transforming students from government job seekers to employment operators and generating job opportunities for the community.

Dr. Reem Ramadan, a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University, saw that small projects are one of the most important elements in supporting the national economy, reducing unemployment and improving income, indicating that students have the desire and ability to enter the field of small projects, but they face several challenges that lie in the fact that the environment does not It is allowed because of the war conditions and the legal, legislative and financial controls, so the dialogue sessions are important in order to listen to the opinions of young people and see their experiences, as well as to identify the difficulties they faced, find solutions to them and encourage them to start their own projects.

Student Muhammad Nour Khalil from the Faculty of Economics presented his personal experience in this field and the negatives and positives that accompanied them, considering that these sessions are the beginning of reaching new results, based on the fact that pilot projects may fail in the first experiments because they carry ideas that are not marketed in the market.
