With an abstention rate of over 80%, the commune of Chanteloup-les-Vignes in Yvelines (Île-de-France) breaks one of the records for the departmental and regional elections on Sunday, June 20.
The vote was marked by a strong disinterest on the part of the population.
On average, 66% of French voters did not go to the polls this weekend.
A particularly visible trend among young people: 82% of 18-35 year olds did not go to vote.
