(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 29 - SYDNEY, JUN 29 - A three-day lockdown will come into effect tonight in the metropolitan area of Brisbane, the fourth city in Australia to run for cover for the resumption of the Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
And as in Sydney and Darwin, residents in Perth were banned from leaving their homes this morning, with the start of a four-day lockdown.
Only three cases of positiveness have recently been detected in the large western Australian city, which has however always taken a very cautious approach to the epidemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Australia (about 25 million inhabitants) has registered just over 30,000 cases, including 910 deaths.
