In detail this Tuesday, there are 1,250 patients in critical care, a figure again in continuous decline for many weeks.

There were 1,304 on Monday, and 1,560 last Tuesday.

28 new deaths have also been recorded in hospitals in the past 24 hours, against 44 the day before.

More than 111,000 people have lost their lives as a result of Covid-19 infection since the start of the epidemic in the country.

The Delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 represents about 20% of new positive cases in France, said the Minister of Health in the morning.
