The US First Lady, Jill Biden, can be seen on the cover of the world's most influential fashion magazine, Vogue. It is an honor that not every president's wife has received. Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton were also featured on the prestigious front page of the magazine when their husbands were heads of government, but Biden's direct predecessor Melania Trump, a former model, did not make it onto the cover during her husband's tenure.
“A first lady for all of us: On the road with Dr.
Jill Biden, "is the title of the article published on Tuesday in the August issue of the magazine.
The cover photo shows the seventy-year-old in a dark blue dress printed with flowers by designer Oscar de la Renta on a balcony of the White House with the Washington Monument in the background.
Her husband, Joe Biden, has been president since January 20.
The cover picture of the February issue of Vogue had already been dedicated to the newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris.
Their team, however, was not entirely happy with the motif on which Harris wore a blazer and trainers.
That should have been too informal for her advisors.
