Catching has to be learned in order to capture the more than 600 Pokémon in "Pokémon GO".
We reveal here how players can increase their catch quota.
Collect and train Pokémon and compete with other Trainers in battle.
Most Pokémon games, including "Pokémon GO" *, have been based on this simple principle since the beginning in the 1990s.
But catching them is not always easy.
Rare Pokémon in particular are a challenge, so it is all the more disappointing when they then flee.
To increase your chances of catching, we have some tips and tricks for you.
"Pokémon GO": No more Pokémon run away
There are several ways that Pokémon can be more easily caught.
Players can combine these to further increase the odds.
Throw Curveball
: Turning the Poké Ball clockwise or counterclockwise and then throwing it increases the chance that the Pokémon will stay in the ball.
When throwing, however, the flight curve must be taken into account.
The curveball is therefore a little more difficult to throw.
Fabulous Throws
: When caught, two circles will appear on the Pokémon.
To make a fabulous throw, players must aim for the inner circle when it is as small as possible.
The color of the circle tells you how difficult it is to catch the Pokémon: green means easy, yellow means medium, and red means hard.
Choosing the Poké Ball
: Of course, it is nothing new to Pokémon experts that the choice of Poké Ball also affects the odds.
The best catch quota is achieved by players with the Hyperball.
So it's worth saving them for rarer Pokémon.
Use berries
: In "Pokémon GO" there are different berries with different effects.
Raspberries increase your chances of being caught, while Nanabberries slow down Pokémon so they're easier to hit.
The golden raspberries are particularly effective; players receive these as a reward for successful raids.
Catch Pokémon of the same type
: If you
catch
a Pokémon of one type often enough, you will receive a medal.
The higher the level of the medal, the easier it is to catch Pokémon of this type.
A bronze medal is available from 10, a silver medal from 50 and the gold medal is available from 200 Pokémon of the same type.
