In the corridors of the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris (CNSMDP), a name is on everyone's lips: that of Jérôme Pernoo.
Renowned cellist and contractual teacher in the public establishment since 2007, the musician has been suspended from his post since March 13, 2021. The management of the Paris institution received, on March 5 and 12, two reports of assault sex on underage students.
As required by article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, a report was made to the public prosecutor and a preliminary investigation for “sexual assault on a minor” was opened by the Paris prosecutor's office.

For its part, the Parisian institution commissioned an internal audit, conducted jointly by the CNSMDP and the Egaé cabinet, founded by feminist activist Caroline De Haas.
The investigation, completed on April 20 and whose report was sent to the director of the conservatory Émilie Delorme, is contested by some of the witnesses
