Balcony plants need constant care, but there is not always time to water the delicate green every day.
A brilliant trick will help you out.
During the corona pandemic, many took the time to make the balcony a little nicer - and what better way to do this than a small sea of flowers?
Or a mini garden with tomatoes or strawberry plants?
But now more freedom is possible again and the question arises of who will take care of the balcony plants as soon as they go on vacation or back to the office.
A little trick can help you keep watering your plants regularly - without having to do much.
Irrigate balcony plants without much effort - with a yogurt pot
The only tool you need to do this is a
yogurt pot
.
Wash it out well and then cut a hole about 1 centimeter in the ground.
If you have a larger flower pot, you can now dig a hole into which the mug fits and place it in it.
The edge of the yogurt cup should then be level with the ground.
Now fill it up to the brim with water - and your plant is supplied with water for a longer period of time.
What is needed seeps in immediately.
The rest will follow as soon as the plant needs it again.

Water plants in the garden with ollas
This principle works even better with Ollas: These are
vessels for storing water
made of porous clay.
The vessel wall is permeable and is therefore ideal for watering the plants.
The clay pot is also inserted up to the edge in the bed or the pot and filled with water.
The prerequisite is always that the plant pot is large enough to bury such a container in it.
You can read here how you can easily make Ollas yourself.
