LIPARI - From Leonardo in relation to Giorgetto Giugiaro to Anton Giulio Bragaglia, and then contemporary photography and painting between the 19th and 20th centuries dedicated to water: these are some of the exhibitions of this first weekend of July. LIPARI (ME) - There are 19 paintings dedicated to "the shape of water", a symbol of life par excellence, which comprise the exhibition "Paintings on water. From Sartorio to De Concilis", scheduled from 26 June to 3 November between the rooms of the Bernabò Brea Archaeological Museum and the cells of the former prison, curated by Brigida Mascitti. The protagonists, who lived in the 19th and 20th centuries, tackle the theme and the "challenge" of water (whether it is a stormy sea or a calm sea in the gulf, whether it is ocean or river) with different styles, techniques and different conceptual approaches ,composing landscapes, scenes of everyday life and moments of shared joy on the canvas.

ROME - Three new exhibitions arrive at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art from June 30: "Anton Giulio Bragaglia. The archive of a visionary" curated by Claudia Palma with Elena Alexia Casagrande, Mario Gatti and Bianca Sofia Romaldi, retraces the figure of the great innovator and experimenter, illustrating his personal research in the languages ​​of cinema, photography (with photodynamics), research theater, dance and with an interest in masks and international performing traditions (until 3 October) ; explores the relationship between art and industrial production the exhibition "Reflections. MILAN - "In Zir - My trips to Jerusalem", a photographic exhibition starring Lidia Bagnara, is hosted in the spaces of Despite Marras from 24 June to 19 September. Curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti, the itinerary reveals the spontaneous and instantaneous nature of Bagnara's work: in about 100 photographs, taken between 1991 and 2021 in India and Cappadocia, Lebanon and Syria, Jordan and Israel, Egypt and Italy, a landscape made up of fragments of places and people, but also moods, smells, tactile perceptions. "Arazzi Animalier" is Michele Tombolini's retrospective set up at the Salotto in Milan from 24 June to 18 July and organized by Cris Contini Contemporary. 25 works including paintings, sculptures and installations in which the human blends with the animal giving life to fantastic creatures,they tell the biting criticism of contemporary society and the reflection on topical issues, from #metoo to the pandemic, immigration to violence against women and children.

CHÂTILLON - The exhibition "Giorgetto Giugiaro and the idea of ​​Leonardo" arrives at the Gamba Castle in Châtillon, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Aosta Valley, from 23 June to 26 September. Curated by Alessandro Vezzosi, the project traces a line of connection between Leonardo, a brilliant scientist artist whose multifaceted and interdisciplinary work also anticipated the design of the twentieth century, and Giugiaro, a designer famous for having created at least 300 models and prototypes of cars of series, from Panda to DeLorean, but also painter and artist. Despite the distance of 5 centuries from each other, the exhibition reveals correspondences and affinities between the two artists, both great designers of machines always oriented towards the future.

MONSANO (AN) - Monsano Contemporary Art Feast will take place in Monsano from June 26 to August 1, in collaboration with TOMAV - Torre Moresco Arte Contemporanea, with the artistic direction of Andrea Giusti and curated by Antonello Tolve: a path in which the art - between indoor exhibitions and outdoor installations - dialogues with the places in the historic center and with the community. Among the planned projects, the ephemeral installations by Paola Tassetti and the Dante-inspired exhibition "Come colui che nine cose tastes", in the characteristic former kitchens of the Castle, with works by Deborah Napolitano, Giorgia Mascitti, Laura Paoletti and Iacopo Pinelli.

LUGANO - It is called "Ruins" and is the first major monographic of Nicolas Party in a European museum: set up at MASI Lugano from 27 June to 9 January 2022, curated by Tobia Bezzola and Francesca Bernasconi, the exhibition presents 31 pastel paintings and 4 painted sculptures (made from 2013 to today) through which the alienating universe of Party comes to life in a site specific setting, in which enveloping architectural forms and unexpected chromatic contrasts live.
