2021-07-02T20:22:51.972Z

The first weekend of departures should be marked by delays. A strike notice has already been filed for next week.

The first weekend of departures is announced in Paris airports, disrupted by a strike movement.

Three unions from the Aéroports de Paris (ADP) group have indeed filed a five-day strike notice on Thursday.

On this weekend, the protest movement only caused delays "

of 15 to 30 minutes

", underlined this Friday morning the Minister for Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.

Similar disruptions should be observed this weekend, due to gatherings of employees in front of the terminals. The Unsa, the CGT and the CFE-CGC are calling for the withdrawal of an adaptation plan for employment contracts (PACT), which provides for the abolition of certain bonuses. In case of refusal, employees will be "

potentially dismissable

" via a job protection plan (PSE), according to Laurent Garssine, secretary general of Unsa at ADP.

Augustin de Romanet, CEO of ADP, assured Tuesday, June 29 that everything will be done so that “

no plane is canceled.

ADP's finances are devastated after a year 2020 marked by health restrictions.

The group is hit with a loss of turnover of nearly 80%.

The year 2021 was also disrupted and if activity resumes this summer, it remains at low frequency: according to the Minister Delegate Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, air traffic will be equivalent to 65% of that observed in 2019. At issue, in particular , the vacation choices of the French who should "

prefer their national territory

", argues the minister.

New strike notice

For ADP, the challenge now is to save money. Stressing that discussions are continuing with the employees, the CEO of the group wished them "

an effort of solidarity, with a red line: no forced dismissals

". Wage cuts will be offset beyond 7%, he promises. Augustin de Romanet further asserts that “

88% of our employees will not lose more than 4%

” of their compensation. Affected like the entire air transport sector by the traffic collapse caused by the health crisis, the ADP group lost 1.17 billion euros in 2020 and committed to reducing its workforce by 11%. “

When the traffic resumes, there is no reason why the employees ofADP cannot find their own (social) model

", he added.
