Fired from "Télématin", Henry-Jean Servat condemns France Télévisions

2021-07-03T00:40:01.922Z

The former social chronicler of France 2 has just obtained 134,000 euros in compensation from the Paris industrial tribunal.

It's a great revenge for the former social columnist of "Télématin".

Ejected from the morning talk show of France 2 in August 2019, Henry-Jean Servat had decided to attack France Télévisions at the Paris industrial tribunal.

In his file, he notified the court of the 680 fixed-term contracts that he had chained from the summer of 2006. According to our information, the justice has therefore just reclassified them as CDI, which guarantees him of significant compensation, in particular for "dismissal without real and serious cause".

Amount of the check that the public service is ordered to pay him: more than 134,000 euros.

"After this decision, we hope that France Télévisions will put an end to these practices", comments his lawyer Me Jonathan Bellaiche.

Contacted, the management of the audiovisual group declined to comment.

A big wave of departures two years ago

Two years ago, Henry-Jean Servat was part of a great wave of departures from "Télématin".

Laurent Bignolas and the production wanted to renew the faces of the show, the vast majority of which had been hired by William Leymergie, asked to pack his bags in 2017. At that time, a dozen historical chroniclers, including Brigitte-Fanny Cohen, Anissa Arfaoui, Sarah Doraghi or even Marie Mamgioglou and Jean-Philippe Viaud, had disappeared from the antenna.

Some of them had preferred to start negotiations, without going through the justice system.

Since then, the atmosphere had improved on the set, as behind the scenes, without Laurent Bignolas really being unanimous among the loyal viewers.

At the start of the school year, the management of France Télévisions chose to replace it with a duo made up of Thomas Sotto and Julia Vignali, who will return to the public service after several years on M 6, where she presented "the best pastry chef".

It is up to them to breathe new life into “Télématin”, which will celebrate its thirty-seven years of longevity in January 2022. In this new version, Franceinfo journalist Johanna Ghiglia will play the newspapers alongside them.
