They wrote each other letters and met several times in person: In the trial against a suspected right-wing terrorist from Bavaria before the Munich Higher Regional Court, two convicted helpers of the "National Socialist Underground" (NSU) are now to testify.

The court summons the two of them at the request of the secondary prosecution.

Ralf Wohlleben and André E. have to appear on July 15 at the same court that they had convicted three years ago for supporting the NSU's racially motivated series of murders.

The judgments are not yet final, the appeal at the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe is underway.

In the trial against the alternative practitioner from Franconia, the two are said to testify about their relationship with the woman who is said to have sent death threats and ammunition in letters to politicians and a mosque association.

She later went underground to prepare for attacks, the prosecution said.

It is about the "preparation of a serious act of violence that endangers the state."

Wohlleben and André E. are said to have been in a lively exchange with the defendant, but could refuse to testify.

The woman's defense lawyers also represented Wohlleben and are regarded as "scene lawyers".

The »Sieg Heil practitioner«, rooted in the neo-Nazi scene, had, according to witness statements, contacted the two of them when they were already in prison.

As part of the so-called prisoner assistance, the woman took care of imprisoned right-wing extremists.

This is suggested by findings from the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

Police found a balaclava and a bulletproof vest

In July 2018, the main defendant Beate Zschäpe was sentenced to life imprisonment in the NSU trial.

The now summoned Wohlleben had obtained weapons for the right-wing terrorists and was imprisoned for ten years.

André E. was sentenced to two years for supporting a terrorist organization.

The NSU murdered ten people between 2000 and 2007.

Zschäpe's accomplices Uwe Böhnhardt and Uwe Mundlos committed suicide.

According to investigators, the accused alternative practitioner met with André E. shortly after his release from prison and later wrote him e-mails.

She should also know Wohlleben personally.

The public prosecutor's office accuses the woman, among other things, of spying out possible terrorist targets.

When the police arrested the defendant, the officers found materials for building incendiary devices, a balaclava and a bulletproof vest.

"The case of Susanne G. shows once again that women in the right-wing extremist scene are apparently ready for violence and terror," according to a SPIEGEL analysis of the case.
