(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 05 - The Recording Academy, the institution that since 1958 has presented the Grammy Awards, the highly coveted prizes of music awarded every year during a ceremony followed on live TV all over the world, has invited Tiziano Ferro to become a voting member of the board . These are the words of the artist: "From today I am a voting member of the Grammy Academy.

I feel overwhelmed by infinite emotion and enormous sense of responsibility. Thank you. I will vote with the passion and conscience you have dedicated your whole life to music. What a beautiful journey".

The Recording Academy is the only organization whose membership is entirely reserved for music creators (and ninth members of companies) and represents the voice of performers, authors, producers and all other professionals in the music field. In its vast field of action, the Grammy ceremony represents the celebration of excellence, the highest recognition for the musical community, the only one conferred through the vote of members of that same community.

Tiziano Ferro won 1 Grammy Award in 2013 in the category "Best Pop Instrumental Album", as author for ChrisBotti's album "Impressions" and got a nomination in 2019 for Andrea Bocelli's "Sì" as the author of the song AmoSoltanto Te, composed along with Ed Sheeran.

He also has 2 Latin Grammys to his credit in 2007 as the author and performer of the song No me lo puedo explicar in the Laura Pausini album "Yo Canto", 1 nomination in 2003 as "Best NewArtist" and 2 nominations in 2013 in the "Mejor Album" categories and "Best Contemporary Pop Album" for the participation in the album "Papitwo" by Miguel Bosè.
