Looted the soldiers: the important memorial site of the war, became a camping and bonfire complex
Tel Faher is considered one of the toughest battle sites of the Six Day War in the Golan, but over the weekend the memorial site became a camping, picnic and campfire site for travelers who did not consider the sign forbidding doing so, and looted the place.

One of Israel's most important war sites,
Tel Faher
in the Golan Heights, became a camping and barbecue site for hikers last weekend, opening tents and setting fire to the site, according to Golani fighters in the reserve who fought in the heavy battle in the Six Day War in which 34 fighters were killed.
In photos that went up on social media last weekend, it can be seen that a group of hikers set up a tent camp on the site plaza and next to it lit a fire and had a picnic.
It should be noted that at the entrance to the site there is a sign with rules of conduct, which do not light a fire in the place.

According to Pazi Shaham, a former fighter in the Golani Brigade and now a member of the Golani Association, "I am sorry. This is a memorial site and among other things it has monuments. For me and others it is a sacred site and it is not intended for picnics or celebrations."
Menachem Rubinstein, one of the fighters of Tel Faher, told Walla!
Tourism that "where they set up the tents at the burial site, there was a column of wounded and dead until we managed to evacuate them in time. 34 people were killed there, so where do they come to celebrate ?! It is a desecration of the memory of the soldiers killed in the threat, so annoying, and it is not "Young people, so it's even more outrageous."
On the Facebook page "Tel Faher then and today", photos were uploaded of a number of tents that were opened on the site, as well as smoke rising from one of the barbecues on the spot.
