The alarm is growing over the spread of the 'Delta' variant which has already reached 104 countries in the world, seven more in the last week alone.
This was revealed by the WHO 'Weekly Epidemiological Update', the weekly report of the world health organization that photographs the pandemic globally.
The variant, identified for the first time in India in October 2020, considered more contagious and destined to represent the majority of future infections, was present in 62 countries on 1 June - specifies the WHO Update - to pass to 80 a mid last month and bounced back to 104 last week.
