Claudio Gubitosi, creator and president of the Giffoni Film festival (21 - 31 July), the event dedicated to the younger generations that returns with the 51st edition, renamed 50 Plus to continue celebrating last year's 50th edition, says so. .

A return for the most part 'in presence', with 3000 young jurors in Giffoni Valle Piana (more than 2000 in streaming with hubs also abroad), over 120 guests and dozens of films with various previews in the sign of the "homecoming", of looking at the country of Italy in all its expressions, contributing even more without glamor or anything else to a centrality of values and attention. Live music events are also back, with names like Diodato Noemi, Colapesce Di Martino, Franco 126, Carl Brave, but the absence of foreign stars stands out. “In a year where we are still suffering, in a not insignificant economic crisis, I deemed it necessary and necessary to suspend an important part of Giffoni's activities - explains Gubitosi -. But I want to thank the many international talents who had given their availability for this year, maybe even only in streaming:however, we have chosen to return in 2022 in the most appropriate way, which is the style of Giffoni: in the presence and, we hope, without restrictions ”.
