Video game consoles are no longer just intended for games.
They are now huge multimedia machines that users can use to watch movies, browse the Internet, and do many other things.
This means that consoles sometimes make other devices such as DVD players or TV receivers superfluous.
There are few things consoles can't do, and one of the most significant developments in console versatility in recent years has been the ability to stream just about anything - from music to movies.
Ironically, the otherwise so versatile Nintendo Switch is limited in this regard.
