While traveling with Gabriel Attal, the Minister of Health discussed the evolution of the covid-19 epidemic in France.

The statement sounds like a wake-up call again.

On the sidelines of a trip to the Paris La Défense Arena vaccination center (Hauts-de-Seine), this Thursday, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, and the government spokesman, Gabriel Attal, spoke of the evolution of the covid-19 epidemic in France.

"What we are seeing is an increase of 50 to 60% now in cases from one week to the next," explained Olivier Véran.

"We went through that, that's what is called the start of an epidemic wave," he said.

"If we want to get rid of this virus, if we do not want to have to take overly restrictive measures, we must achieve collective immunity.

And therefore, getting vaccinated is a small step for oneself but a big step for immunity… ”, added Gabriel Attal.

This new government release comes as the much more contagious Delta variant is gaining ground in several European countries.
