Being outdoors is healthy for us, whether it’s on a hike, camping or picnic.

Some rest, air, beautiful scenery and shared time.

Many families are interested in the summer in a simple pastime, with the children, in nature.

Not every trip on the big holiday requires an attraction for hundreds of shekels, either counting birds or setting flowers near the house can be a fascinating pastime that brings the whole family closer and gives time together.

For the benefit of those who have discovered the magic of simplicity, the guides of the Society for the Protection of Nature have collected 7 games and ideas for fun and interesting family fun in the open air.

It is important to remember of course to respect nature and not to harm it, to keep the land clean and take with us everything we have brought, and consider others:

1. Photography

Photography has become so accessible to all ages.

Photography is used today in a wide variety of ways to preserve nature.

One can observe and see (and show) the beauty and the big and small surprises of the place.

It is possible to document with the help of the camera or the phone camera, all the flowers and animals in the place (or signs that the animals left us).

Hila Nakash, national coordinator for environmental education at the Society for the Protection of Nature, notes that photography is also a great way to convey a message.

"Let the children think about what they would like to say through the picture to others, whether it is something positive or negative," she says.

2. Building a living house

Offer children to build a home to live in that they see in space, or think is in the area.

First, plan the activity - what kind of house do they need?

What is it made of?

Where should it be built?

A house in nature must be made of materials found in nature, without destroying of course something that exists, and a house that can disintegrate and return to nature at the end of use.

Recommended materials are stones (pick up carefully), soil or mud, branches and leaves.

3. Collections

If you stay in the same place for several days (a camping trip, for example) the children can create small collections or treasures for themselves.

They can make an exhibit or a treasure chest.

It is just important to explain to the children that the treasures should stay in place at the end of the visit.

4. Games of yesteryear

These depend on the terrain conditions, look for accessories that can be used with you for childhood games of yesteryear.

Here are some ideas: three sticks, grabs, five stones.

5. Obstacle course

Create an obstacle course for the children consisting of large stones or walking on a tree trunk, jumping over a stream or trunk, crawling under an obstacle or climbing a rock - all of which will make them and they feel that they have succeeded in a huge task.

6. Camping

Everything to do with camping works great.

Take some ropes with you and they will be a great base.

Build a tent like you used to, swing a tarzan or walk on a rope.

Teach them a knot or two.

Thinner terrorists can do small crafts like a bracelet, necklace or dream catcher.

Most fun to build a tent like before or lie in the dark and look at the stars.

7. Night

Children hardly experience darkness anymore.

A night in the field can be an opportunity to observe the constellations, imagine shapes or look for the real oil of constellations.

Finally, if you have decided to stay in the air-conditioned house, you are welcome to learn with the children how important it is to keep nature clean through a mobile learning game for children that combines videos to encourage nature conservation and cleanliness, starring the Lion Lion.

The tutorial is for boys and girls (ages 5-10), and includes explanations, questions and short videos.
