This weekend we have delivered enough vaccines to Member States to be able to fully vaccinate at least 70% of adults by this month
. By tomorrow. approximately 500 million doses of the vaccine will be distributed in all regions of the European Union ": said the president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in a video statement.
"Covid-19 is not yet defeated - he added -
but we are ready to provide more vaccines, even against new variants. Now Member States must do everything to increase vaccinations. Only then will we be safe"
. "Our vaccination campaign has accelerated enormously since the beginning of the year. Our approach is a success. We will only get out of this crisis together," he concluded.
