There are between 120 and 130 Italians in quarantine in Malta who, according to what has been learned, have so far been in contact with the Italian embassy.
Most of these are teenagers on vacation or students from English-language summer schools, which have now been closed.
About 50 are positive for Covid, while the others are in isolation because they have come into contact with infected comrades. Only some are of age.
Yesterday the embassy, in constant telephone contact with the young people, organized in collaboration with the authorities a transport service to gather the students at the Corinthia Marina, in Saint Julian, converted into a Covid Hotel, to which no one can have access. The cluster, it is learned, has also affected French and Spanish children.
