According to the will of the public prosecutor, the alleged wolf mask rapist should never be released: In the Munich criminal case for the brutal assault on an eleven-year-old girl, the prosecution applied for 14 years' imprisonment and subsequent preventive detention for the defendant, like a court spokesman after the non-public Announced the pleading.

The defendant had admitted to camouflaging himself with a wolf mask and to have dragged a girl into the bushes in broad daylight and raped him.

According to prosecutors, he ambushed the girl in June 2019.

The alleged perpetrator is a man with a relevant criminal record who was admitted to psychiatry after several sexual offenses and whose conditions had only recently been relaxed.

The defense assumes - unlike the public prosecutor's office - a reduced guilty capacity due to a mental illness and called for placement in a psychiatric hospital in their plea on Friday.

The prosecution assumes that the man may have targeted his victim.

As stated in the indictment read out at the beginning of the trial, he is said to have observed and photographed the child in the S-Bahn before the crime.

She also assumes that he set off that day with the intention of abusing the girl and that he also had the wolf mask with him for this purpose.

According to the investigators, he threatened to kill the girl and her parents if she called the police.

The now 46-year-old man's lawyer admitted that his client had observed and photographed the girl in advance.

The man denied the intention to act.

The decision to rape the child was made spontaneously.

Otherwise, the defendant largely admitted the allegations through his lawyer.

The case has raised the issue of rehabilitation of sex offenders from the start.

Because the defendant was in an easing stage of the penal system.

He had several criminal records for sexually abusing children.

According to the public prosecutor's office, the man is said to have been noticed with sexual offenses in his youth and has also already been convicted of assault.

On the day of the incident, the defendant was allowed to drive unaccompanied from his assisted living community to his place of work.

According to the public prosecutor's office, this was the only time in his daily routine when he was not under supervision - and he used it according to his confession.

The verdict is due to fall next Tuesday (July 13th).
