Inaugurated today in the monumental complex of the former convent of Sant'Agostino in Montalcino (Siena) the Tempio del Brunello, an "immersive and emotional" journey to discover one of the most famous red wines in the world, precisely Brunello di Montalcino.

The project, promoted by the Archdiocese of Siena, Colle di Val d'Elsa and Montalcino, by the Municipality of Montalcino, by the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino and carried out by Opera Laboratori, was born, explains a note, "from the solid agreement between the institutions involved who in this last difficult period of pandemic have worked together in order to ensure a brilliant and innovative future for Montalcino and its territory ".

The goal is to make Montalcino known, "in an articulated and profound way, through a complete experience that opens up from Brunello towards millenary history, archeology, artistic heritage, landscape and the promotion of the other precious products of this generous land. that, over the centuries, man has been able to love and enhance it to the fullest, cultivating it and guarding it as a treasure received as a gift.

The Temple of Brunello is therefore an expression of the Oro di Montalcino, a cultural operation that intends to collect, communicate, to make known and experimented, even with the help of the most advanced technologies, together with the potential expressed by one of the territories which for its wine vocation and the iconic charm of the landscape is already one of the most appreciated in the world ".

"Montalcino wants to be reborn - says the mayor Silvio Franceschelli - now is the time". "The Brunello Temple - adds the president of the Brunello di Montalcino Wine Consortium Fabrizio Bindocci - is not only a modern and interactive museum, but also a profoundly representative experience of its territory that will give added value to the promotional activity that the same Consortium already carries out for the whole socio-economic system of Montalcino ".
